Limitations and Liability
Hypnosis cannot, and should not, stand alone as the sole medical or psychological intervention for any disorder. Hypnosis should not be used instead of appropriate medical, dental, or psychological treatment, and any individual with a medical or psychological problem should first consult a qualified health care provider for diagnosis and professional advice. Hypnosis should only be practiced by those who have been appropriately trained, who practice appropriately, and within the scope of their training. Hypnosis is not a magic bullet, it requires motivation, willingness and belief by the client to be effective.
Your Choice, Your Responsibility: While, during the session, we will offer you suggestions and other ways of looking at your issues and different solutions for your consideration, you hereby agree that whatever we discuss is only our perspective and is not binding upon you, nor is it a prescription or medical advice or diagnosis. If you want to discuss our suggestions with someone else, you should discuss them with a licensed health care provider. It is your responsibility to confirm whether or not the suggestion we make or the treatment protocol produced the desired result. It is your responsibility to communicate your results to us. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the therapy.
When considering Distance Support Studies show that distance support can be helpful and effective. However, you understand, results cannot be guaranteed. Support via distance can assist you to better understand yourself, give you insight to address issues you encounter, reduce stress and generally give you a greater sense of direction for you life's journey. It is your responsibility to confirm whether or not the treatment protocol produced the desired result. It is your responsibility to communicate your results to us. Alternatively, you may also access Derek Richard’s “Features and Benefits of Online Counselling at University Trinity College Online Mental Health Community, 2009” online.)
When considering Wholistic Therapies it is important to know that somatic engagement (bodywork: i.e., Reiki, Acupressure/massage. Somatic Release etc.) is not for everyone. Our culture has ingrained taboos about our bodies being seen and physically engaged by another person. Because of the intimate nature of somatic engagement it is important that you discuss the appropriate level of physical contact for yourself and any restrictions or concerns you have about your body and your physical condition. It is your responsibility to confirm whether or not the treatment protocol produced the desired result. It is your responsibility to communicate your results to us. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the therapy.
Because we are semi-retired, we work on a Donation Only basis and often "Pro bono publico" - However, there are specific guides which we follow for new clients - please contact us to discuss your needs and reasons for support to determine if we can support your journey.
Pro bono publico (English: for the public good; usually shortened to pro bono) is a Latin phrase for professional work undertaken voluntarily and without payment or at a reduced fee as a public service.
We reserve the right to change the fee structure, content of the training, and therapeutic protocols without notice.
